Fullstack Job: Junior Software Developer

Tasks

• You will work with a team responsible for a number of frontend web applications (React / Next.js), and a backend SOA (Golang) that powers them.
• You’ll build new features and functionality, helping us to build the leading ecosystem for Personalized Nutrition, as well as maintain existing code.
• Collaborate with engineers in other teams on larger, cross-team initiatives.
• Identify, share, and foster the adoption of good practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability in collaboration with Quality Engineering and Site Reliability.
• Gain in-depth understanding of our core product and inner workings.
• Track your work and communicate in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ professional experience with React. Experience with Golang and Next.js framework is a big plus.
• Experience with web service APIs, working with either REST, GraphQL, or both.
• Professional experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-Commerce tools.
• You care about quality, performance, user experience, and security.
• You’re highly organised, and keep thorough documentation of processes and bugs.
• You’ve worked with CI tooling (we use Github Actions), and are comfortable with unit tests.
• Actively help yourself (and others) be successful, through open, direct, and timely feedback.
• Continuously learn and challenge the status quo.

Interacting with developers, product managers, and stakeholders is very much part of the day-to-day, so communication skills are vital. We’re a small, lean team, so we’re looking for strong individual contributors who can take direction and run with it, own metrics, and also coach both team members and stakeholders in everything “quality” means to you.
